What this document is
A birth certificate proving the parent–child relationship, with a Japanese translation. Needed only when the case includes a child.
What it must show
- A birth extract (Vietnam)
- With a Japanese translation clearly naming the translator
Where to get it
Vietnam: the commune/ward People's Committee. Japan (if born in Japan): the city hall.
How to get it
- Request the birth extract
- Translate into Japanese + write the translator's name, date
